SSgt Vincente Medina's loyalty to the Marine Corp and also the youth from the impoverished streets he came from, entangle him in a series of events relating to the death of a Pfc. Salazar.  He is at first a suspect and questioned, but we quickly find out he is hiding another secret altogether unrelated and his involvement was strictly because, "we take care of our own".
