Ghost Whisperer

Friend of Jim and Melinda, Det. Carl Neely is hired to assist Melinda in finding information on her true father's past.  In a desperate moment for help, Melinda calls Det. Neely to help her and Jim with a precarious situation.  Neely already unstable on the job due to events happening in his personal life, makes a horrible life changing decision of judgement and accidentally kills Jim, spiraling Neely into darkness and seclusion.  Melinda forgives him and helps him communicate with the ghost of his step-daughter who recently passed.
